About WikiGameJam
Following the success of WikiGameJam NYC 2025, we are excited to bring the event to San Francisco! This time our focus is on physical and board games based on everyone's favorite online encyclopedia.
Are you a game designer or a board game enthusiast? A Wikipedia editor or volunteer? Or just curious about how to blend knowledge and play? Join us and let's see what we can create together!
This event takes place at a hackerspace, so there will be access to the following:
- A large format printer, 3D printers, laser cutter, various crafting tools
- Design/technical support
- Paper, pens, etc.
- Resources about tabletop games design.
We will also feature:
- Presentation on tools and existing Wikipedia-based games
- Coffee and snacks, lunch, and a light dinner
